Civic Engagement of the Youth

Youth civic engagement has been a missing link in the political dna of most countries, both developed and developing. Unless some of us rise above the cynicism and influence more and more young people to engage effectively; we are not looking at a promising set of politicians in the next 10-15 years. For example, at present, an average Indian is 24 years old and ironically the largest democracy and the youngest country in the world is led by the oldest politicians. We need to devise multiple strategies and ways to increase the level of awareness around these issues and drive a movement for better engagement of the youth in civic and political issues/areas.
